A good example of when you probably shouldn't train at all let alone attempt a hard training in tough terrain. Can see from the low average and max puls that I struggled to get the intensity up, I was also falling over quite a lot and struggling to focus. 1. drag: Good plan & quite well executed to #1, using the lines of crags, good direction with good picture of the grey areas and shapes before & after the control in order to be accurate/ confident here, the tapes were hung (also according to the descriptions) behind the feature mostly so you had to orienteer the whole way. Route to #2 was optimal for me but did not make a solid plan for 2nd half of the leg and therefore lost confidence towards control but direction was good enough. Could have been more aware of the grey behind the control so as to keep "speed" up all the way in. "Speed" in theory only! Not moving very well today apart from in the most runnable parts of the terrain - which do exist & I'm getting better at finding them! ;). 2. drag: Very good plan & execution to #3. Totally lost focus halfway to #4 and started thinking about other things. By the time I refocus I have made a big mistake. Realise that I am very tired but relocate and decide to continue with the session taking it bit by bit. 3. drag: Very positive mindset again! Good plans to #5 & #6 and well executed (track is not quite right here, especially to #6, I avoid the green). Precise with direction & map reading of the main features in my plan. Find it tough going to #7, struggle to stay positive & focused, drift a bit but have things moreorless under control. 4 drag: Very pleased with plan & execution of leg to #8, use the grey areas and just enough in control all the way. To #9 just really exhausted but good plan to stay just right of the line in 2nd half of leg so as to have clear features to read my way into control. 5. drag: Nope. Shuffle home. Harry handel + serious downtime needed! :)
